Columbiana - August 15, 2008 - Marie B. Chandler, 95, formerly of Lisbon Street, died at 10:55 a.m. Friday at the Parkside Health Care Center.
Mrs. Chandler was born January 27, 1913 in East Liverpool, a daughter of the late Charles and Nora Ammon Venaman and had lived in this area most of her life. She had been employed as a ware dresser at the former Taylor, Smith, and Taylor Pottery in Chester, WV for 27 years.
She was a member of the Columbiana Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Columbiana Senior Citizens and AARP Chapter #813.
Her husband, Orvis J. Chandler, whom she married February 18, 1929 died January 22, 1974.
She is survived by a daughter, Sally Wilkinson of Columbiana; two sons, O. J. (Marilyn) Chandler of Salisbury, NC and Robert Floyd (Barbara) Chandler of Shallowwater, Texas; 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Millicent "Milly" Chamberlain; six sisters; two brothers; a great grandson and a great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Ken Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Calcutta United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday.
