Marie Hays Barber

Las Vegas, NV-  Marie Hays Barber, age 84, of Las Vegas, formerly of Rogers, died on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at her home.

She was born on March 18, 1933 in Rogers, a daughter of the late Rev. William and Lucille Gleich Hays.

Marie spent much of her life working as an elementary school teacher.

She is survived by a daughter, Margaret Barber of Snohomish, WA., and a son, George Barber of Las Vegas, NV.  Also surviving are two sisters, Francis Thomas of Riverside, CA., and Jennie Hartnett of Herndon, VA., and a brother, William Hays of Grand Terrace, CA.

Marie was preceded in death by a sister, June Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Burial will be held at East Carmel Cemetery in Rogers.
