East Palestine-December 30, 2008- Vivian J. and Margaret Louise Wirth, both of 132 W. North Avenue were pronounced dead Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at their home.
Vivian was born May 11, 1918 and Louise was born December 29, 1922, the daughters of Frank and Elma Ball Wirth and had lived in this area most of their lives.
Vivian worked as a secretary in Salem for a pottery and was also an Avon representative. Louise worked as a librarian at the East Palestine Memorial Public Library. They both worked at a family store, Wirth's Variety Store in East Palestine and were members of Centenary United Methodist Church where Louise taught Sunday school.
They are survived by a sister, Shirley Brown of Birmingham, Alabama; a brother, Richard Wirth of Baltimore, Maryland; and a niece and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home with Reverend David Martin officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, East Liverpool.
