Margaret L. Wilkinson

Washingtonville - March 9, 2005 - Margaret L. Wilkinson, 83, formerly of High Street, Washingtonville, died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Lutheran Home, North Canton.

Mrs. Wilkinson was born July 22, 1921 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Albert and Viola Patterson Heinze and had lived in this area all of her life until moving to North Canton 1 1/2 years ago. She, along with her husband Ralph E. Wilkinson had owned and operated Wilkinson Auto Sales in Washingtonville for several years.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Washingtonville where she taught Sunday School for many years. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with Senior Citizens tours, and her grand and great grandchildren. Her husband, Ralph E. Wilkinson, whom she married January 22, 1941 died June 6, 1988.

She is survived by a son, David and his wife, Peggy Wilkinson of North Canton; three sisters, Mrs. Lila Lipply of Columbiana, Mrs. Bob (Annabelle) Huffnagle of Leetonia, and Mrs. Tony (Janet) Gabriel of Salem; a brother, Blaine Heinze of Hialeah, FL; two grandchildren, Wayne and his wife Patsy Wilkinson and Douglas and his wife Erika Wilkinson; and two great grandchildren, Summer Wilkinson and Mitch Wilkinson. A brother, John Heinze is also deceased.

Margaret's family wishes to thank the many friends and relatives for their cards and visits during her stay at St. Luke's.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor William Medford officiating. Burial will be in Washingtonville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services. If friends desire, material tributes may take the form of a donation to the Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
