Margaret E. Conrad

Leetonia – Margaret E. Conrad, age 100, of Leetonia died on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at Salem Regional Medical Center.

She was born August 14, 1916 in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Lester and Ida Floding Redfoot.

Margaret was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leetonia. She was a 1934 graduate of Leetonia High School and attended Wittenberg College where she obtained her Bachelor’s in science. Margaret worked as an RN at St. Luke’s hospital in Chicago, Illinois and also worked as an office nurse for her husband’s practice in Leetonia. She volunteered as a hospice nurse for 10 years in Florida.

Her husband, Dr. Paul W. Conrad, Sr., Preceded her in death in 1979.

Margaret is survived by her two sons, David Conrad of Leetonia, and Dr. John Conrad of Salem; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Paul W. Conrad, Jr.; a sister, Myrtle Redfoot Woodward; and a brother Walter Redfoot.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.

Memorial donations in honor of Margaret may be made to Community Hospice and the Humane Society.
