Margaret M. Carr

Columbiana-September 27, 2010-Margaret M. Carr, 95, died Monday morning at 5:30 a.m. at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana from complication of pneumonia.

Mrs. Carr was born September 8, 1915 in Cleveland, a daughter of Laura Gaines and had lived in this area all of her life.

Margaret owned and operated Margaret's Beauty Shop in Columbiana for 40 plus years and had also worked for Mrs. Dot Stacey.

Margaret was a member of Grace Church in Columbiana.

She is survived by two daughters, Lynnette Carr-Sykes of Oakland, CA and Jonelle M.C. Johnson of Seattle, WA; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laurice Gaskin and a brother, George H. "Chalk" Gaines.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Reverend Dr. Robert C. Joy officiating. Burial will follow in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the funeral home.
