Margaret L. Altman

Brandon, FL-October 31, 2010-Margaret L. Altman, 90, of Brandon, formerly of Leetonia, died at 4:42 p.m. Sunday at her home.

Mrs. Altman was born January 28, 1920 in Salem, OH, a daughter of the late Lewis and Margaret E. Grimm Dunlap.

She was a member of the Lisbon Baptist Temple where she taught Sunday School for many years.

Her husband, George R. Altman, Sr. whom she married October 29, 1937 died December 17, 1968.

She is survived by five daughters, Margaret Llano of Tampa, FL, Norma Jean Biery of Brandon, FL, Mary Elerick of King George, VA, Elzina Briggs of Woodbridge, VA, and Paula Fauver of Leetonia; four sons, James Altman of Leetonia, David Altman of Washingtonville, Thomas Altman of Massillon, OH, and Donald Altman of Thonotosassa, FL; six sisters, Mary Swim of Salem, Dorothy Renouf of Austin, TX, Edna Ward of Iowa, Verna Shoaff of Salem, Virginia Hazelwood of Lisbon, and Elizabeth LeMasters of Deming, NM; a brother, Frank Dunlap of Salem; 33 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, John and George Altman; three brothers, Raymond, James, and Lee Dunlap and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 8, 2010 at the Lisbon Baptist Temple with Pastor Charles Cusick officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
