North Lima-March 12, 2006-Mae Firestone, age 89, of 10635 Woodworth Road died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at her daughter's in Reynoldsburg.

She was born May 9, 1916 in Canton, daughter of Frank and Lena Bertolette Warner.

She had lived in the North Lima area all of her life.

Mrs. Firestone had worked in the former Sigle Trucking Company office in North Lima, before working for Sheely's Furniture.

She was a member of the Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ and supported Crystal Cathedral.

She attended the Chicago School of Interior Design and later was a Care Wear volunteer that knitted for the Children's Hospital.

She married Guy Firestone in 1937 that preceded her in death August 3, 2001.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Bunn of Columbus; a son, Charles L. Firestone of Salem; and a sister Beth Bender of Columbiana; a grandchild and two great grandchildren.

A sister, Jayne Smith preceded her in death November 29, 2004 and a grandson David Pusser in 1988.

Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m Wednesday in the Columbiana Cemetery Chapel with the Rev. Melinda Q. Lacefield officiating.

Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Mae requested that in lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to Todd's Children's Hospital.
