Mabel Louise Burns

New Springfield, Ohio-Mabel Louise Fitzsimmons Burns, age 91, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at the Caprice Health Care Center, North Lima, OH. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mabel was born September 28, 1914 in Fredericktown, OH, a daughter of John H. and Fettie Posey Fitzsimmons. She was a homemaker who loved and cared for her family. She and her husband Frank Burns loved to travel and spent their winters in FL. until his death July 21, 1984.

Mabel leaves a daughter Betty (Bob) Wilson of New Springfield, OH, with whom she made her home; a brother, Robert Fitzsimmons of East Liverpool, OH; four grandchildren, Virginia (Jack) Echard, Beverly (Richard) Cleland, Edward (Gloria) Wilson, and David (Kris) Wilson, nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Burns; a son Robert Lee Burns, two brothers Roy Fitzsimmons and Frederick Fitzsimmons, and a sister Hazel Myers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Robert Wengerd officiating. Interment will be at Clarkson Cemetery. Friends and relatives may call Sunday April 2, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
