"Together Again"

Springfield Twp-Mrs. M (Mary) Jean Granger, 82, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at St Elizabeth’s Boardman.  She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Paul C. Granger in 2012.

Jean was born on December 20th, 1936 in Negley on the family farm.  Daughter of the late Joe Huston and Grace Mackall Huston, middle child of eight.  Preceded in death by brothers Dale Lynn In 1941 and Robert Lee in 2017.  She is survived by sisters Joanne Murphy of Stow, Donna Swank of New Waterford, Sally Hubbard Indiantown FL, and brothers Keith of Greensboro NC, and Bill of Okeechobee FL.

She attended Mt. Zion Church in Negley as a child, went to Oak Grove School and New Waterford High School where she was a majorette in the class of 1956.

Beloved mother of three, she is survived by her children, Michelle Bacon Santimarino, Diana Bacon Keeble (Dave), and Sean Davis.

She worked at JC Penny’s Boardman Plaza during the 60’s, Mahoning Bank as a teller on Youngstown Poland Rd., and beginning in 1973, General Electric’s Youngstown Service Shop on Indianola as a Winder, rebuilding large electric motors through the mid 80’s.

She and Paul married on August 25th, 1980 after a four-year courtship.  They had nine Grandchildren and countless Great Grandchildren.  She has struggled coping with Paul’s passing in 2012 ever since.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home in East Palestine.

Services will be held on Saturday, at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will follow at Glenview Cemetery, East Palestine.
