Lucy Darlene Kannal

Boardman - Lucy Darlene Kannal, 86, of Sateri Home, formerly of New Waterford, went to be with her heavenly Father on February 27, 2007.

Mrs. Kannal was born April 3, 1920 in Berlin Center, the daughter of Err Albert and Nora Dustman Weldin. Lucy graduated from Columbiana High School in 1938 and was a member of the East Fairfield United Methodist Church. Lucy enjoyed an early life of gardening, quilting, and farming. She had been employed at the New Waterford Furniture Factory and the Columbiana County Courthouse where she retired in 1985.

Her husband, Frederick Leonne Kannal whom she married September 30, 1939 preceded her in death on August 24, 1992. She was the loving mother of Ira (Karen) Kannal of Boardman, Nancy (Louis) Groubert of Huntington, IN and Gary (Bette) Kannal of Lisbon. She was also a cherished grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home, Columbiana with the Reverend Michael Namy officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home 10-11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
