Lowell Rice Rhoades
Columbiana - December 9, 2009 - Lowell Rice Rhoades, 93, of Parkside Health Care Center, died Wednesday morning at the center.
Mr. Rhoades was born July 10, 1916 in Bradford, PA, a son of the late Cyrus Guy and Rhea L. Brown Rhoades and had lived in Columbiana since 1968, coming from Bradford.
He had been employed as a mechanical engineer at E. W. Bliss in Salem and prior to that at NRM in Columbiana and Dresser Industries and W. R. Case & Sons, both of Bradford, PA.
He was a member of East Fairfield United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Margaret Pollock and his brother, Kenneth Rhoades.
He is survived by a daughter, Donna Webber of North Wilkesboro, NC; son, David B. Rhoades of Freehold, NJ; two grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Green Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel where interment will take place.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
