Leetonia-October 30, 2004-Lovina Katherine Hinten, age 84, of 5701 Leetonia Road died at 1:55 a.m. Saturday at Northside Hospital in Youngstown.
Mrs. Hinten was born January 22, 1920 in East Palestine, a daughter of Frank and Iva Yarian Floor and had lived in this area all of her life.
Mrs. Hinten worked as a pipe inspector for Republic Steel in Youngstown during World War II and had been a housekeeper for the relatives of Judge Ernest Van Fossan. She also worked with her husband in their lawn mower business and later in their machine shop, Hinten Machine in Leetonia. She was a member of Believers Christian Fellowship in Salem.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth F. Hinten, whom she married September 14, 1941; two daughters, Patricia Ann Williams of Newport News, VA and Deborah Jean Hinten of Leetonia.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with the Reverend Robert Rowley of her church officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
