East Palestine-February 16, 2009-Louise Blagg, 85, of 520 E. North Ave., died at 9:35 a.m. Monday at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.

Mrs. Blagg was born May 9, 1923 in East Palestine, a daughter of Lloyd and Margaret L. Kerchgesner Wilson and had lived in this area all of her life.

Louise was a clerk for the former Morris Golden Dawn Grocery Store in East Palestine for 25 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

Her first husband, Everett Dickens, whom she married in 1957, died in 1969. Her second husband, Clifford Blagg, whom she married in 1972, died in 1976.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret "Peg" (Rick) Kirk of East Palestine; a sister, Sally "Toppy" Gotthardt of East Palestine; a brother, William (Shirley) Wilson of East Palestine; two granddaughters, Lynn (Dan) Hill and Lana (Rich) Ferris; and five great grandchildren, Corey, Carter and Caleb Hill and Jacob and Emily Ferris.

A sister, Betty Zimmerman and a twin brother, Bud Wilson preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with the Reverend Donald Pentz officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
