Loretta Marie Barkley

Leetonia - Loretta Marie Barkley, age 89, of Leetonia, died on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at Hospice House in Poland.

She was born on April 11, 1926, in Glidden, Iowa, a daughter of the late Lowell and Olive Rhodes Reever.

Mrs. Barkley was employed as purchasing manager for Fordees Manufacturing Inc. in Leetonia for 30 years, retiring in 1992.

Her husband, Paul M. Barkley, whom she married on May 9, 1963, preceded her in death September 9, 1991.

She is survived by two sons, Lowell “David” Smith and Steven H. Smith both of Leetonia; a sister, Elayne Wichmann of Minnesota and four grandchildren.

Loretta was preceded in death by a grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.

Memorial tributes may be made to the Leetonia Community Public Library or Salem Community Theatre.
