East Palestine - July 7, 2007 - Lois E. Bolam, 82, formerly of 775 West Martin Street, died at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Essex of Salem II following a lengthy battle with cancer.
Mrs. Bolam was born March 28, 1925 in East Palestine, a daughter of the late William J. and Lela K. Flowers Lalley and had lived here all of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of Christ.
Her husband, Robert H. Bolam, whom she married on August 26, 1944 in Wellsburg, WV died June 2, 1997. A son, Robert W. Bolam; two brothers, William "Bud" Lalley and Eugene Lalley; and a sister, Helen Lalley are also deceased.
She is survived by a son, Terry (Kathy) Bolam of East Palestine; two grandsons, Scott Bolam of Stow and Brian Bolam of East Palestine; two sisters, Betty Dutcher and Kay Mack, both of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services on Tuesday.
