Columbiana – Lois M. Beltempo, 83, of Columbiana, formerly of Leetonia, died at 8:32 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Beltempo was born July 10, 1931 in Youngstown a daughter of the late Clarence and E. Ocie Clever Lanterman and had lived in Columbiana since 1998.
She had been employed as a clerk for 16 years for the Leetonia Board of Public Affairs, retiring in 1989.
Lois is survived by her husband, Gerald G. Beltempo, whom she married June 21, 1952; two daughters, Candice L. (Richard) Pennell and Bonnie L. (Ray) Steeb both of Columbiana; a son, Jerry A. (Connie) Beltempo of Salem; a brother, Richard (Janet) Lanterman of Leetonia; a sister in law, Blanche Lanterman of Leetonia; two granddaughters, Kaitlin Steeb and Brynn Pennell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Barnes, a brother, Robert Lanterman, and a nephew, Larry Lanterman.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2014 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Father Christopher Cicero officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
