New Waterford - February 22, 2009 - Lloyd E. Louk, Sr., 73, of 3768 Park Avenue, died at 4:18 p.m. Sunday at the Select Specialty Hospital.
Mr. Louk was born October 19, 1935 in Negley, a son of Lloyd J. and Helen Tice Louk and had lived in this area all of his life.
He had served in the US Army during the Korean War and had been employed as a truck driver for Ohio Transformer, Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Mae Scott Louk; two sisters and one brother.
He is survived by five sons, Lloyd E. Louk, Jr. of Youngstown, James Louk and Timothy Louk, both of East Liverpool, Jerry Louk of Mooresville, NC and Jeff Louk of Concord, NC; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Larry Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens where the honor guard from Benjamin Firestone Post #290 American Legion will accord military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
