Columbiana October 21, 2005 -Lloyd J. Apple, age 82, of 14439 Canfield Road died at 11:00 p.m. Friday at his residence.
He was born Jan. 27, 1923 in Elkton, son of Raymond J. and Ola I. McCammon Apple.
He had lived in Columbiana for 43 years coming from East Palestine Ohio.
He had been employed at the former Kenmar Manufacturing in East Palestine then was an Insurance Agent, operating as Apple Insurance in Columbiana for more than 35 years.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana and the Fairfield Ruritan Club.
His wife, the former Lois Elenor Baker whom he married July 17, 1942, preceded him in death June 24, 1993. A daughter, Joyce Ann Howe of Leetonia; a son, Ritchie James Apple of Newark; a brother, Ralph S. Apple of Elkton; two step sisters, Ruth Baker and Elaine Evans; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Baker; and three granddaughters, Lorie (Perry) Bilsky, Cheri (Larry) Deidrick and Amie (Rob) Hasson; five great-grandchildren, Robbie Hasson, Carlie Deidrick, Kalie Hasson, Emilie Hasson and Tyler Deidrick, survive him.
A sister, Evelyn F. Painter; a stepmother, Mary Apple; a stepbrother, Duane Bruey, preceded him in death.
Friends may call Tuesday, 12:00 noon until the 1:30 p.m. service, in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home. The Rev. Steven K. Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.
