Leetonia, OH-September 8, 2009-Lewis Morris, 80, of 37813 Butcher Road, died Tuesday afternoon of injuries following an automobile accident on Route 46 in Mahoning County.
Mr. Morris was born December 23, 1928 in Salem, a son of Harry C. and Lottie E. Conrad Morris and had lived in this area all of his life.
Lewis was a press operator for Harrold Tool, Columbiana for 21 years retiring in 1991. Prior to that he had worked for the former Mullins Manufacturing Co., Salem for 23 years. He served in the US Army during WW II.
His wife, the former Elizabeth I. Price, whom he married September 11, 1959 also died September 8, 2009, from injuries from the same auto accident.
He is survived by two daughters, Deborah Huff of Salem and Darlene Young of Leetonia; four sons, Jimmy Morris of Washingtonville, Lewis (Connie) Morris and Robert (Barbara) Price, Sr. all of Salem and Art (Karen) Morris of Sherman, NY; 12 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A sister, Alice Taylor and two brothers, Harry and Donald Morris preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Jenna Brown officiating. Burial will follow in St. Jacob's United Church of Christ Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
