Letha M. Huston

East Palestine, OH-June 19, 2007-Letha M. Huston, age 100, formerly of State Route 14, died at 5:50 a.m. Tuesday at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana.

Mrs. Huston was born March 1, 1907 in Calcutta, a daughter of William and Jessie Wilson Hamilton and had lived in this area all of her life. She was the owner and operator of the former Huston Beauty Shop for several years. She was a member of the former Salem Reformed Church in Unity.

Her husband, Glenn Huston, whom she married June 3, 1925, died June 29, 1974.

She is survived by two daughters, Doris Simmonds and Eileen Gillespie both of Columbiana; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, June Vargo, a sister, Olive Smith, three brothers, Earl and Paul Hamilton and an infant brother, a granddaughter, Mary Calloway and an infant grandson.

Private graveside services will be held with Pastor Donald Aull officiating. Burial will be in Salem Memorial Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine.
