Struthers - September 28, 2008 - Leona Mae Sloan, 74, of 476 Lincoln Ave., died Sunday at Hospice House, Poland.
She was born September 24, 1934 in Poland, a daughter of the late Theodore and Minnie Berrisford Hanson and had lived in the area all her life.
Leona had been employed as a clerk for Dairy Mart in Campbell, retiring in 1999.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Theodore H. Sloan and two sisters, Evelyn Broderick and Phyllis Banozic.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Watson of Struthers and Debra J. Sloan-Tisone of Columbiana; two sons, Mark and Gregory both of Struthers; a sister, Marion Brennard of New Springfield; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Columbiana Cemetery with Patty Scahill officiating, with the burial to follow. Friends may call from 1-2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the cemetery chapel.
Arrangements were made by the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
