Lela Fay Ferguson

Columbiana February 1, 2004 - Lela Fay Ferguson, age 89, of 1229 Columbiana-Lisbon Road went peacefully from her residence to be with the Lord at 5:40 a.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Ferguson was born September 14, 1914 in Rogers, daughter of Kim and Bessie Mae Crawford Crawford and had lived in Columbiana all of her life.

She had been an Owner-Operator of the former Ferguson's Farm Market in Columbiana for 35 years.

She was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ.

Her husband, Alfred Clark Ferguson, whom she married August 12, 1932, preceded her in death, February 6, 2000.

She is survived by two sons, Sam (Sue) Ferguson and Thomas (Janet) Ferguson, both of Columbiana; two sisters Alberta Woodward of Steubenville and Mrs. Harry (Zelma) Bailey of Newton Falls; three nieces, Polly Shearer and Pat Young, both of Columbiana and Betty King of Bradenton, Florida; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren

A sister, Flossie Vaughn and a brother, Kim Crawford, preceded her in death.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Boehm officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.

Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Church of Christ or Hospice of the Valley at Salem.
