Leila G. Eastek
Leetonia-January 29, 2007-Leila G. Eastek, age 81, of 39246 Farrington Road, died at 12:40 p.m. Monday in Essex II of Salem where she had been the past three weeks.
Mrs. Eastek was born November 9, 1925 in Washingtonville, a daughter of Edward and Mildred Fosnacht Herman and had lived in this area all of her life.
She was a bank manager for many years starting with Farmers National Bank of Salem, retiring in 1978 from Bank One in Leetonia. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Washingtonville.
Her husband, Alexander "Al" Eastek, whom she married October 26, 1946 died December 17, 1993.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Fast of Leetonia; a son, Thomas E. Eastek, Sr. of Columbiana; a sister, Lillian Weikart of Columbiana; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Audrey Schaefer and Myrna Bruderly.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with Pastor William Medford of the church officiating. Burial will follow in Washingtonville Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
