Columbiana December 16, 2006 -Lee Bertolette, age 89, of 224 Stanton Avenue died at 1:15 a.m. Saturday in his residence, following a four day illness.
He was born August 26, 1917 in Columbiana, son of Charles and Emma Luxeuil Bertolette.
He had lived in Columbiana for 40 years coming from Washingtonville and had been the owner-operator of Lee's Auto Sales in Columbiana.
He served as drill instructor in the Army during WWII.
Lee is survived by his wife, Sally Ann Hutcheson whom he married January 23, 1993; a daughter, Patti Bertolette and her companion, Joe Humphries of Salem, two step daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Deborah) Leffel of Bloomington, IN, and Mrs. Michael (Christine) Damschroder of Vickery; and five grandchildren.
His first wife, the former Mary Lucille Fast whom he married April 26, 1938, died August 22, 1981. A brother, Rodney Bertolette, also preceded him in death.
A services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Ziegler officiating. Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
