Lary C. Capehart

East Palestine-Lary C. Capehart, 72, of East Clark Street, died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at his home following a short illness.

Mr. Capehart was born April 16, 1942 in East Liverpool, a son of Dale C. and Iris Jean Walters Capehart and had lived in this area all of his life.

Lary worked in the shipping and receiving department for Penn Power in Shippingport, PA. He had also worked as a foreman for the former Sheet and Tube in Youngstown. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in East Palestine.

His wife, the former, Rose M. Plummer, whom he married August 15, 1946, died October 30, 1995.

He is survived by his daughter, Jodi Massey of Lisbon; his son, Jay Capehart of East Palestine; and his sister, Donna (Jack) Frech of Florida.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlene Smith and two brothers, Chuck Capehart and David Capehart.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at the First Church of Christ of East Palestine with Mr. Robert Helbeck, Minister officiating. Burial will be in East Carmel Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
