Leetonia-July 17, 2011-Larry W. Kemp, 63, 38203 Lodge Road, died at 8:39 p.m. Sunday at Salem Community Hospital.
Mr. Kemp was born April 8, 1948 in Ravenna, a son of Floyd L. and Lillian Ward Kemp.
Larry worked for Leaseway Transport as a truck driver retiring in 2004. He has recently been employed as a truck driver at Agland in Westville and for Bricker Farms of Salem. He was a lifelong 4H member and advisor in Mahoning County, serving on the livestock committee for many years and a member of Teamsters Local 377. He also enjoyed fishing at Lake Erie.
He is survived by his wife, the former Nancy V. Hiznay, whom he married November 7, 1970; a daughter, Tracy Kemp of Euclid; a son, Eric (Kristen) Kemp of Leetonia; a sister, Karen (Thomas) Hultman of Kent; three brothers, Robert (Laura) Kemp of WA, Wayne (Susan) Kemp of Howland and Bruce Kemp of WA; and two grandchildren, Zachary Kemp and Emma Kemp.
A granddaughter, Susan Kemp preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
