Larry Morris Ewing

Columbiana - Larry Morris Ewing, 72, died at 5:23 p.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the Salem Regional Medical Center, Salem.

Mr. Ewing was born December 29, 1941 in Columbiana, a son of Robert Morris and Helen Whitacre Ewing and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a 1959 graduate of the former Fairfield High School and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Larry had been employed as appliance manager at Kmart for 15 years, retiring in 1985. Prior to that he had worked for Nabisco as a truck driver.

He had been a member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana and the former Columbiana Lions Club. He was also an avid golfer at the Valley Golf Course.

He is survived by a sister, Anita Kotis of Fairview Park, OH and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Mango and a brother, Wayne "Smoke" Ewing.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with the Reverend John Bartholomew officiating.
