Larry J. Bostic
Salem-Larry J. Bostic, 69, passed away Sunday evening, February 14, 2016 at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bostic was born July 14, 1946 in Uvalde, TX, a son of Jady and Margie Bond Bostic and had lived in this area the past 30 years after retiring from the US Navy.
Larry was a First Class Petty Officer in the Navy and worked with special submarine communications. After retiring from the Navy, Larry worked as a dispatcher for the Salem Police Department.
Larry is survived by his wife, the former, Theresa Fitzwilliams, whom he married January 17, 1976; his son, Russell Bostic of Salem; and a brother, Kenneth Bostic of Texas.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Bostic.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Benjamin Firestone Post #290 Honor Guard following the service. Friends will be received from 5:00 -7:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
