Kurt H. Todd, P.E.

Negley - Kurt H. Todd, P.E., age 55, of Negley, died on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

He was born on November 3, 1969, in Salem, son of the late Howard "Bud" and Virginia “Babe” Sutherin Todd.

Kurt was a graduate of East Palestine High School and Youngstown State University and went on to work as a civil engineer.  He was proud to be a member of the Negley Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as the Chief and Treasurer for many years.

Kurt is survived by his two sisters, Trudi N. (Douglas Shramm) Todd of St. Clairsville and Judi (Wally) McElhaney of Reynoldsburg; four brothers, Gary W. (Edna) Todd of Rogers, Steven G. (Carol) Todd of Binghamton, NY, Gregg A. Todd of Moneta, VA and Brett E. Todd of East Palestine; three nieces, Brianne (Eric) Dunn, Liesl (Stephen) McGouldrick and Erin (Riley) Robey; a nephew, Ryan McElhaney; two great nieces, Cecilia McGouldrick and Alanna Robey and three great nephews, Owen Dunn, Emmett Dunn and Jamison McGouldrick.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and on Saturday, February 1, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine, with Pastor Cindy Figley officiating.
