Kevin George Garrod, 34, of Opportunity Homes, 7891 SR 45, Lisbon, died at 3:02 pm. in the emergency room of Salem Community Hospital after suffering an apparent cardiac arrest at home.
He was born June 8, 1970 in Salem, son of George T. and Sandra (Kiehl) Garrod.
Kevin was baptized at the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana. He graduate from Robert Bycroft School attended the Senior Activities Center in Lisbon and was a bowler in the Columbiana County Special Olympics.
He is survived by his parents, Thomas and Sandra (Kiehl) Davis of Leetonia and George T. Garrod of Columbiana; a grandmother, Madalyn Garrod of Columbiana; a brother, Barry (Gail) Garrod of Orrville; a step-sister, Kristin Davis of Van Wert; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and all his special friends at Opportunity Homes.
His uncle, The Rev. Dr. Darryl Kiehl and the Rev. Steven K. Brown of the church will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church of Columbiana with burial to follow in Cool Springs Cemetery.
Friends may call 7-9 Sunday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home.
