Kenneth R. Maye

Akron, OH-Kenneth R. Maye, 45, died suddenly Monday morning while visiting with family in East Palestine and is now worshiping in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

Mr. Maye was born November 15, 1963 in Orrville , OH a son of Robert and Elizabeth Bryner Maye and had lived in the Akron area most of the past 24 years.

Ken loved music, playing the guitar and singing and at one time was the Director of Music at St Luke Anglican Church in Akron. He is survived by his wife, the former Diana R. Chilson, whom he married September 11, 1993; his daughter, Annika Maye and his son, Ethan Maye, both at home; two brothers Paul Maye of Savannah, GA and Phillip (Ellen) Maye of Pittsburgh, PA; and his mother in law, Marjorie Chilson of East Palestine.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Reverend Scott Souders officiating. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
