Columbiana April 14, 2004 - Kenneth L. Knight, age 87, of 38 Windrose Court died at 6:36 p.m. Wednesday in the Salem Community Hospital.
He was born April 24, 1916 in Massillon, son of William and Nona Rohrbaugh Knight.
He had lived in Columbiana for nine years coming from New Middletown, where he had lived for 47 years.
He had been a Watchmaker and Jeweler for 37 years, at Aebischer's Jewelry in Youngstown for 16 years, then at Knight's Jewelers in Struthers until 1956, and then three years at Emrich Jewelry in Hubbard.
Mr. Knight was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Columbiana.
His wife, the former Margaret Mohr whom he married August 31, 1938, died November 17, 2003.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth L. Knight Jr. of Columbiana; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Kauffman, Mrs. June Barger and Mrs. Dolores Herberling, all of New Middletown Emma; two granddaughters, Kathie Knight of Myrtle Beach, SC and Mrs. Phillip (Kristin) Withers of Leetonia; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Withers.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Edna McGath, Emma Barkley, Dorothy Felex and Viola Hatcher; five brothers, Lloyd, Russell, Clifford, William, Jr. and Simon Knight.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. William G. McCreight officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
