Kenneth C. Kimble

East Palestine, OH-Kenneth C. Kimble, 92, died at 5:25 pm Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Palestine.

Mr. Kimble was born August 6, 1920 in Mahoning County, OH, a son of Clarence and Ora Rena Shultz Kimble and had lived in the area all of his life.

He was a mechanic for Bob George Auto and was a member of the First Church of Christ of East Palestine. Kenneth served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the George F. McBane Post #31 American Legion and the Edward L. McGuckin Post #4579 VFW in East Palestine.

His first wife, the former Isabelle Clark, whom he married in 1942, died in 1962. His second wife, the former Dorothy Hostetter, whom he married October 2, 1962, died April 23, 2002.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharyn (Dennis) Burkey of Columbiana; a sister, Doris (Roy) Hutchison of Petersburg; two brothers, Norman (Rosetta) Kimble of East Palestine and Albert LaClair; a grandson, Michael (Maureen) Welther of Lakewood; and two nieces, Linda (Steve) Rogers of Canfield and Marilyn Welther of Washington, D.C.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ethel Ball, and his brothers, George, Porter, Jarell and Vernon Kimble and James LaClair.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine with Mr. Robert Helbeck officiating. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Wednesday and 11am-noon Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kenneth's memory to the First Church of Christ Caring Hands Food Ministry.
