Kenneth "Chappy" Clark, age 70, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
Ken was born on November 6, 1953, in Adrian, MI, son of the late James and Helen Cross Clark.
He pastored various churches, the longest tenure being 28 years at Columbiana Baptist Church where he was instrumental in reaching thousands of young people thru his work with the annual youth rally. Currently, he was a member of First Baptist of Salem where he preached as needed. Ken enjoyed being a chaplain for many law enforcement agencies including the Columbiana County Sheriff Department, East Liverpool, Salem, Columbiana, East Palestine, Lisbon and Wellsville. His life was dedicated to serving Jesus and others in our community and worldwide.
Ken is survived by his wife, the former Paula S. Henry, whom he married on March 5, 1970;
his children, Mary Lou (Jason) Crank of North Lima, James (Angela) Clark of Alliance and Elizabeth (Albert) Cole of Leetonia; nine grandchildren, Brandon, Hayley, Kenneth, Madeline, Olivia, McKendra, Kylie, Martina and Emma; two great grandchildren and one on the way; several brothers and sisters-in-laws; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his in laws, Frank and Marilyn Henry, his brother-in-law, Ron Powelke and a niece, TeeSha Powelke.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 21, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. The family will also receive friends on Monday, January 22, 2024 from 10:00 am -11:00 am at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Claye Folger officiating.
Burial will take place at New Waterford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
