Columbiana March 12, 2005 -Kathryn Jean Mills, age 74, of 105 North West Street went to join her Lord and Savior at 4:40 a.m. Saturday in the Mahoning Valley Hospital.
She was born November 4, 1930 in Lisbon, daughter of Charles E. and Nellie Boso Snay Sr.
She had lived in Columbiana for 18 years coming from Hanoverton, Zanesville, Warren and Leetonia.
She had been a Press operator for Black Hawk Automotive Plastics at Salem.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana, taught Youth Club for 18 years and was Prayer Chain Leader for 11 years.
She is survived by her husband, Van Allan Mills whom she married February 2, 1950; a daughter, Mrs. Ernest (Chryal) Nichols of Bellevue, NE; five sons, David (Annette) Mills of Canton, James (Cindy) Mills of Queen Creek, AZ, V. Charles (Gail) Mills of Nashport, Ronald (Julie) Mills of Mesa, AZ, and Michael Mills of Zanesville; five sisters, Mrs. Carol Paul of Boardman, Mrs. Robert (Vera) Bortmas of Washingtonville, Mrs. Laura Surmaceviz of Salineville, Mrs. Howard (Deborah) Herrold of Hanoverton and Mrs. Carl (Marjorie) Ballard of La Verkin, Utah; four brothers, Charles E. Snay Jr. of Hanoverton, Richard (Joan) Snay of Columbiana, Roger Snay of , Safety Harbor, FL, and Thomas Snay of Salem; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Dorothy Snay and Ruth Ann Knight, preceded her in death.
Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church Columbiana with the Rev. Dr. Robert McCreight officiating. Burial will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery at Hanoverton.
Friends may call 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Memorial Fund of the Church.
