Kathryn “Sue” Mcgeehen

Columbiana – Kathryn “Sue” McGeehen, 87, of Columbiana, died Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salem.

She was born June 11, 1930 in East Liverpool, daughter of the late William and Gretchen Goodwin Orr.

Sue worked as a clerk for the Columbiana Court House and H & R Block. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Columbiana and she sang in the choir and she was a member of Columbiana Music Study Club.

She is survived by her husband, John Albert McGeehen, whom she married February 9, 1951; three sons, Robin (Donna) McGeehen of Austintown, John Michael McGeehen of Columbiana, and Patrick McGeehen of Lisbon; four grandchildren, Stephanie and Kristopher McGeehen, Jennifer Chastain and Kathleen (Christopher) Covington; as well as, five great grandchildren, Ada and Finn Covington, Dax Chastain, William and Brooklynn McGeehen.

A brother, Bill Orr preceded her in death.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana and from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Fritz Nelson officiating.

Burial will follow in the Columbiana Cemetery.
