Judy L. Rohrer

Washingtonville- Judy L. Rohrer, age 76, of Washingtonville, died on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at her home.

She was born on July 13, 1939 in Washingtonville, a daughter of the late William R. and Mary Bertolette Weikart.

Judy was a member of the Robbins United Methodist Church in Washingtonville. She was a 1957 graduate of Leetonia High School and a 1958 graduate of Hannah Mullins School of Practical Nursing. Judy had worked as a cook for Leetonia Schools for 20 years. Following her retirement, she volunteered at Salem Hospital. She enjoyed both cooking and baking as well as sewing. She also enjoyed the performing arts, working in her yard and attending to her flower beds. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and camping. In recent years, she most enjoyed spending her time with her grandson whom she adored. She lived by the Golden Rule and had an unparalleled faith. She is survived by her husband, Walter H. Rohrer, whom she married on February 8, 1959; two daughters, Melanie Stelts of Leetonia and Colleen (Mark) Dattilio of New Waterford; her grandson, Nathan Stelts of Leetonia and a sister, Donna (Carl) Mathey of Washingtonville.

Judy was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Melvin, Ronald and Donald Weikart.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, January 7, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Washingtonville Cemetery.
