Enon Valley, PA - Dec. 18, 2005 - Josephine Fraser Clay Giesecke, 99, of Hampton, IL, formerly of Enon Valley, died Sunday morning in Silvis, IL.

Mrs. Giesecke was born February 16, 1906 in Paoli, PA, a daughter of Charles E. and Alma Fraser Clay and had lived in Enon Valley since 1927, coming from Sewickley, PA. She had resided in Illinois with her daughter since May, 2005.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, New Castle, PA and the Enon Presbyterian Church, Enon Valley, PA.

Her husband, Richard H. Giesecke, whom she married June 16, 1927 died August 28, 1978.

She is survived by four daughters, Emelie Bellino of Illinois, Elizabeth Hurley of Virginia, Barbara A. Giesecke, with whom she made her home in Illinois, and Carol C. Giesecke of Delaware; two sons, Richard H. Giesecke, Jr. of Florida and Albert C. Giesecke of Illinois; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

A daughter, JoAnne Perry and two brothers, C. Weston Clay and George T. Clay are also deceased.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Trinity Episcopal Church, New Castle, PA, with the Reverend Dennis Blauser officiating. Burial will follow in Castleview Cemetery, New Castle. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Wednesday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that material tributes be in the form of a donation to either the Trinity Episcopal Church 212 North Mill Street, New Castle, PA 16101 or the Enon Presbyterian Church.
