Josephine Stella Bunofsky

East Palestine - Josephine Stella Bunofsky, 88, formerly of Campbell, died at 7:20 a.m. Friday, August 20, 2010 at the Greenbriar Health Care Center in Boardman where she had resided the past 20 months.

Mrs. Bunofsky was born October 12, 1921 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Paul and Kathryn Balough Dulovich and had lived in the area since 1998 coming from Campbell. She was a homemaker and also worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Truscon during WW II. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Campbell. She was also a member of the Ladies Guild and First Catholic Slovak Ladies.

Her husband, Joseph W. Bunofsky, whom she married May 27, 1941 died December 16, 1994.

She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie (Charles "Chick") Pastore of East Palestine; a son in law, John Scoff of Valrico, FL; three grandchildren, Diana (Mike) Hosterman of Durham, NC, Daniel Pastore of Wilmington, NC, and Suzanne (Matt) Scoff-Keel of Hebron, IN; and one great grandchild, Braydon Keel.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, JoAnn Scoff; three sisters, Mildred Merva, Kathryn Holly, and Ann Dulovich; and two brothers, Albert and Paul Dulovich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church, Campbell with the Reverend John Jerek officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery in Campbell. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
