New Waterford - Joseph F. Dutterer, 84, formerly of New Waterford, died Monday evening at the Parkside Health Care Center where he had resided five years.
Mr. Dutterer was born August 21, 1926 in Youngstown, a son of the late Arthur G. and Grace V. Schesler Dutterer and had lived in this area all of his life.
He had served in the US Army Air Force during WWII in Europe and Africa. He had been employed as an assembler at NRM Corporation, Columbiana, for 32 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the New Waterford Presbyterian Church, East Palestine Lodge #417 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite, Youngstown and the Shriners Club, Cleveland.
His wife, the former Ada Marie Chamberlain, whom he married October 4, 1947 died February 15, 2005.
He is survived by a sister, Donna V. Scott of Lisbon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Margery E. Keyes; and four brothers, Marshall, Stewart, Charles, and Richard Dutterer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2011 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Cramer officiating. Burial will be in New Waterford Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior the service on Friday at the funeral home.
