John F. Sposetta Sr

Canton - John F. Sposetta Sr. age 76, of Canton, formerly of Leetonia, died Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at his home.

John was born on March 9, 1935, in Leetonia, a son of the late Ralph and Eleanor O'Dell Sposetta. John served in the US Marine Corps and retired from American Steel.

He is survived by four children, John F. Sposetta Jr. of Sebring, Julie Sposetta-Iden of Louisville, Jerilynn Barber of Salem, and Jolene Sposetta of Salem; by two sisters, Teresa Allison of Washingtonville and Mary Ann Harden of Virginia Beach, VA; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother Ralph Sposetta Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel, Leetonia, with the Reverend Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
