John Harry Schaade

Salem July 19, 2005 - John Harry Schaade, age 62, of 11619 Washingtonville Road died of liver disease at 10:33 a.m. Sunday in the Northside Medical Center, where he had been a patient for one week.

He was born Aug. 10, 1942 in Youngstown, son of Harry Woodrow and Charlotte Emma Smith Schaade.

Mr. Schaade had lived in New Middletown for 22 years and the last 40 years in Salem.

He graduated from Youngstown State University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering.

Mr. Schaade had been an Electrical Engineer for Electric Furnace Company for 39 years.

He was a member of the Greenford Lutheran Church

Surviving is his wife, Jeannette Louise Heid whom he married November 7, 1964; a daughter, Gretchen Staraitis of Newton Falls; two sons, Jeffery B. Schaade of North Augusta, SC and Jon E. Schaade of Lancaster; a sister, Mrs. John (Jean) Scarsella of Canfield; two brothers, James Schaade of New Middletown and Jerry Schaade of Salem; and five grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana.

Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, his family request memorial contributions to Thomas E. Starzl Transplantation Institute % University of Pittsburgh.
