John Sakoman
Lisbon-November 29, 2009-John Sakoman, 84, who passed away at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.
Mr. Sakoman was born February 27, 1923 in Youngstown a son of Peter and Katherine Bolf Sakoman. He was a lifelong resident of the area.
He was a steelworker at LTV for 43 years, retiring in April 1984.
He was a member of St. George Church, Lisbon, St. George Lodge #66, ACC Club, Youngstown and the Friday Nighters Tamburitzan Group.
Besides his wife, the former, Josephine Nuskievicz, whom he married June 27, 1953, he leaves a daughter, Patricia Ann Baker of Elkton and a grandson, B. Keith Dunkel of Poland. He also leaves a sister, Katherine Kutlick of Canfield.
A sister and three brothers are deceased.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Green Haven Memorial Gardens Chapel, Canfield, with Reverend Nicholas Shori officiating. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements were made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia.
