Columbiana - John Leo Perrott, 81, of 51 Howard Street, died at 2:40 a.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana.
Mr. Perrott was born October 25, 1928 in Reading Mines, PA, a son of the late John Leo and Delda Richards Perrott.
He had worked as a laborer at Harrold Tool in Columbiana and had also operated the Arco Station on West Park Avenue for several years. He was a member of the Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Columbiana where he had been a deacon for many years and had served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was an avid bowler at Arrowhead Lanes for many years.
John is survived by his wife, the former, Evelyn Macklin, whom he married November 25, 1948; two daughters, Linda (Greg) McKarns of Beloit and Cindy Noble of North Lima; a brother, Chris (Marie) Perrott of San Diego, CA; a half brother, Jim Gregory of Dayton; three grandchildren, Lynnette (John) Roessler, Brett (Sherry) Schweitzer and Joshua Noble; and three great grandchildren, Ashley and Brandon Roessler and Jonathan Haas.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Florence Thomas, Ida Miller, Betty Launi and Eleanor "Sis" Wampler; two brothers, Edward and Bud Perrott; and two half brothers, Richard and William Gregory.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, September 20, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Jerusalem Lutheran Church with the Pastor Paul Burgeson officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery.
Memorial tributes may be made to the church memorial fund.
