John David Mellinger

Leetonia April 24, 2007 -John David Mellinger, age 69, of 1695 Beeson Mill Road died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in his residence.

He was born July 28, 1937 in Grove City PA, son of Lester J. and Stella M. Riehl Mellinger.

Mr. Mellinger had owned an operated the Crystal Springs Farm and the Gasoline Equipment Service in Leetonia.

John was a member of the Upper Room Fellowship in Columbiana.

Surviving is his wife, Carole Ann Morlan whom he married December 21, 1957; two daughters, Mrs. Shawn (Margaret) Collins of Corvallis, OR and Mrs. Jason (Barbara) Garver of Leetonia; a son, Mark (Marjorie) Mellinger of Leetonia; three sisters, Mrs. Jean Heller of Oberlin, Mrs. Rudy (Mary) Sahle of Melbourne Beach, FL and Mrs. Brooks (Nancy) Rice of Francestown, NH; and two grandsons.

A brother, James R. Mellinger, preceded him in death.

Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home with the Pastor Charles Hamilton officiating.

Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley or the building fund of the Upper Room Fellowship.
