John Paul Gostey

Leetonia - February 12, 2007 - John P. Gostey, 88, of 5239 Lisbon-Canfield Road, died at 6:30 a.m. Monday at the Vista Center, Lisbon.

Mr. Gostey was born June 23, 1918 at Hilliards, PA, a son of Antone and Caroline Godovecz Gostey and had lived here since 1947, coming from Pennsylvania.

He had been the owner and operator of the Gostey Feed Mill for 45 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Leetonia.

He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Wiegand Gostey, two sons, Richard Gostey of Leetonia and James Gostey of Washingtonville; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Midland and Elizabeth Dunn and three brothers, Paul Goste, William Goste, and Tony Gostey.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia with the Reverend Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
