John Edward Frank

May 16, 2007-New Galilee, PA-John E. "Ed" Frank, age 77, of Beaver Street, died at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at Jameson Hospital, New Castle, PA.

Mr. Frank was born January 4, 1930 in Columbiana, OH a son of John and Harriett Stanley Frank and had lived in the New Galilee and Enon Valley area most of his life.

Ed owned and operated Frank's Auto Salvage in Enon Valley for many years. He had also been a truck driver and served in the US Army during the Korean War.

His wife, the former Dorothy Jane Crawford, whom he married May 2, 1959 died June 6, 1990.

He is survived by a daughter, Darla (Shane) Miller of Beloit, OH; a son, Mark (Patricia Gaye) Frank of New Waterford, OH; six sisters, Carol (Lee) Watkins, Marjorie (Raymond) Lindsay and Linda (Marvin) Ash all of East Palestine, Barbara Smith of New Waterford, Betty Jane Frank of Wampum, PA and Peggy (Morris) Ash of Lisbon; three brothers, Clyde (Joan) Frank of Beckley WV, Robert (Nancy) Frank of Salineville and Lonzo (Carol) Frank of Rogers; and two step-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a sister, Retta Chapelow and a brother, Harold Frank.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home East Palestine, OH with the Reverend Brian Hassel officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery, Beaver Falls, PA.
