John "Jack" Elmer Coppersmith, Jr

Columbiana – John “Jack” Elmer Coppersmith, Jr. age 86, of Kelly Park Road died on Monday, September 28, 2015, at his Farm.

Mr. Coppersmith was born December 10, 1928 in Leetonia, a son of the late John E. and Margaret Metz Coppersmith Sr. and had lived in the Columbiana area all of his life.

John served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church Leetonia and had worked as a data processor for 18 years at Humtown Pattern in Columbiana, retiring in 1996.

His wife, the former, Donna Mae Lamoncha, whom he married May 15, 1952, died January 20, 2004.

He is survived by two sons, John Coppersmith and Gary (Rebecca) Coppersmith all of Columbiana; a sister, Eleanor Coppersmith of Warren; two brothers, Richard (Cindy) Coppersmith of Columbiana and Lynn G. (Lynn E.) Coppersmith of Salem; as well as, five grandsons.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
