Jodi K. (Lunger) Brooks

Columbiana - Jodi K. Brooks, age 56, of Columbiana, died unexpectedly on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at her home in Columbiana.

She was born on January 5, 1968, in Salem, a daughter of Beverly Bable Lunger, and the late George Lunger, Sr.

Jodi graduated with honors as Valedictorian from Crestview High School and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Columbiana.  She was currently working as an administrative assistant for Graft Electric where she was passionate about her job and always a perfectionist.  Jodi enjoyed shopping and spending time with her beloved cats and dog.  Mostly, Jodi loved spending time with her family.  She loved her children unconditionally and never missed attending any of their school functions or sporting events.

Jodi is survived by her husband, Matthew Brooks, whom she married on September 2, 2000; daughter, McKenzie Brooks of Columbiana; son, Cody Brooks of Columbiana; her mother, Beverly Lunger of Columbiana; sister, Julie A. Williams of Columbiana and her brother, George (Christine) Lunger, Jr. of Piqua, OH.  Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and other family members whom she loved.

The family will receive friends on Monday, August 12, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Burial will take place at the East Fairfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Jodi’s family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
